Having qualified at St Mary's Hospital, London in 1990, Stephanie worked in London teaching hospitals for 5 years prior to undertaking an MSc in manipulative physiotherapy to further her specialist knowledge and skills. Since then, she has been a musculoskeletal specialist within physiotherapy departments in London, Oxford and Southampton Hospitals.
In 1996, Stephanie was responsible for setting up the Royal Free Hospital Back Pain Clinic, which she continued to run for the next for 3 years. In this time she also worked as a sports physiotherapist with the London Irish Rugby Football Team for 5 years, treating a variety of sports injuries.
Stephanie has worked extensively as a spinal physiotherapist, and been involved in research both in the UK and in Australia. She has lectured nationally to GPs and physiotherapists on back pain, and when in Oxford was involved in the National Spinal Collaborative and set up post-operative spinal protocols. Stephanie worked as an extended scope physiotherapist at University Hospitals Southampton, with the spinal surgeons for 8 years.
Stephanie is also an APPI Level 3 Pilates instructor and applies this in our physio led Pilates classes and 1:1 sessions with patients.
