Clubmark

ECB ClubMark is the national accreditation scheme for cricket clubs. It shows your club is well run, sustainable, and committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for players, volunteers and members of all ages.

For parents and carers, ClubMark provides reassurance that your club is a trusted place for young people to enjoy cricket in a positive and rewarding setting.

Why Clubmark Matters

Clubmark isn't just a badge - it's a practical framework that helps clubs improve the way they operate.

It supports your club to:

  • Run more effectively with stronger governance and planning
  • Demonstrate high standards in safeguarding and welfare
  • Build trust with parents, players, and volunteers
  • Strengthen eligibility for funding, grants, and partnerships
  • Create a more inclusive environment for everyone involved in the club

What's Involved in Gaining Clubmark?

To achieve ClubMark accreditation, clubs need to provide evidence showing they have the right structures and policies in place, including:

  • A clear Club Development Plan
  • A formal Club Constitution
  • An effective committee structure with regular meetings
  • Transparent accounts and financial management
  • Adoption of the ECB’s Safe Hands Policy and Anti-Discrimination Code
  • Appropriate club insurance
  • Compliance with the Safeguarding & Health Management System (SHMS)
