Girls

Girls cricket is the fastest growing aspect of the game.  An increasing number of clubs now provide opportunties for girls to participate in female only teams, which compete in District leagues. Girls are also receiving regular coaching from experienced coaches within schools through the Chance to Shine programme.

The Girls District programme aims to provide further opportunities for talented club players to develop their skills and enjoy the game. In July, clubs from the four Districts - North, Winchester, South East & New Forest nominate girls to attend trials in September and November.  Selected players are invited to attend the Winter Development Centres at U11, U13 and U16 age groups in preparation for district fixtures during the summer.
