Become a qualified cricket coach this winter

Introducing our 2022-23 winter ECB Coach Development programme, a busy and varied schedule with courses ranging from Support Coach (to follow ASAP) to the new Core Coach (new Level 2 qualification from ECB). 

ECB Coach Development supports the development of coaches at all levels of the game, to ensure they’re able to provide players with the best possible experience of playing cricket and the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding of the game to help them fulfil their potential.

We hope to provide updates on Support Coach dates in the near future.

ECB Foundation I Coach

Mountbatten School, Romsey - 5th & 12th February - 9am to 4pm
Perins School, Alresford - 12th & 19th February - 9am to 4pm
Warblington School, Havant - 19th & 26th February - 9am to 4pm

ECB Core Coach

Warblington School - 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th March - 9am to 4pm

Bursary Support

Funding by the England and Wales Cricket Trust to offer bursaries that support the following groups:

Eligibility for bursary funding

Learners are expected to pay up front for the course and upon completion of their course, they will be refunded the appropriate amount – Completion is defined as: 

The bursary will be allocated to the person who made the original payment

Due to the increased growth of female participation within the county we focussed our bursary funding application to the Trust to drive further opportunities to women and girls to access courses and we are able to offer some unique opportunities:

Remaining bursaries will be provided at 50%, on a first come, first serve basis for all other ECB Foundation I and Core Coach courses to the groups mentioned above.

Please note that additional bespoke opportunities are being planned to support people attending/contributing to our Lord Taverner’s/other associated community programmes/partnerships (specific to people with disabilities and people from ethnically diverse communities).
