2026 Girls Skills Development Programme

Inspiring U11 and U13 girls to grow skills and confidence in cricket

Hampshire Cricket Board is delighted to launch the 2026 Girls’ Skills Development Programme, a non-selective initiative aimed at U11 and U13 girls who want to build confidence, develop their cricketing skills, and make the exciting transition from softball to hardball cricket.

This inclusive programme provides high-quality coaching in a fun and supportive environment, helping players strengthen their abilities and love for the game.

What to Expect

  • Hardball Skill Development
    Players will receive expert coaching in batting, bowling, fielding, and wicket-keeping, all tailored to support their progression into hardball cricket.
  • Confidence Building
    Sessions are designed to develop resilience, improve confidence, and help players feel comfortable with hardball cricket.
  • Supportive Environment
    Each venue offers a welcoming and positive atmosphere where every girl is encouraged to learn, grow, and enjoy the game at her own pace.

Venues and Timings

North - Yateley School

  • U11: 12pm - 2pm
  • U13: 2pm - 4pm
  • Dates (all Sundays): 11th January, 25th January, 8th February, 22nd February, 8th March, 22nd March
  • Cost: £15 per session

South East - West Hill Park School, Fareham

  • U11: 12pm - 2pm
  • U13: 2pm - 4pm
  • Dates (all Sundays): 11th January, 25th January, 8th February, 22nd February, 8th March, 22nd March
  • Cost: £15 per session

New Forest - Hounsdown School, Totton

  • U11: 9am - 11am
  • U13: 11am - 1pm
  • Dates (all Sundays): 11th January, 25th January, 8th February, 22nd February, 8th March, 22nd March
  • Cost: £15 per session

Central - Perins School, Alresford

  • U11: 9am - 10.30am
  • U13: 10:30am - 12pm
  • Dates (all Saturdays): 10th January, 17th January, 24th January, 21st February, 7th March, 14th March, 21st March
  • Cost: £12 per session
