Following the recent Supreme Court judgement, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has updated its regulations regarding eligibility for transgender players in recreational cricket.
With immediate effect, transgender women will no longer be able to play in women’s competitive cricket. This includes all compeitions coordinated by Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB). Transgender women and girls can continue to play in open and mixed cricket.
HCB believes people should be able to access the sport they wish and we understand this will be a very difficult time for some members of the cricket community. We encourage those affected to contact HCB or ECB's partner, Out4cricket who can provide support.
