These comprehensive one-day courses, running from 09:30 to 16:00, will provide participants with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to become effective cricket umpires.

Learners must be 14 years of age at the time of the course.
No prior experience in umpiring is required to join this course, making it the perfect opportunity for those looking to support the game, whether at junior softball or adult cricket levels. The programme will cover key topics such as:
Understanding the role of the umpire
Basic knowledge of the game and umpiring techniques
Answering appeals and understanding common methods of dismissal
Effective communication with players, coaches, and other officials
Ensuring safe playing conditions
The course is structured to include both classroom and practical learning. To ensure a productive experience, participants are advised to come dressed appropriately. Additionally, learners will need to complete some online pre-learning prior to attending, which can be completed at their own pace and should take no longer than 90 minutes.
By the end of the course, participants will be well-prepared to umpire at various levels within recreational cricket, helping to support and sustain the sport within the community.
