Hampshire Tri-Series Cricket Festival

Top-performing amateur cricketers from across Hampshire take the spotlight as part of the #HantsTopGun recognition campaign

It was a special evening at Utilita Bowl on Monday 17th June, as we welcomed some of Hampshire’s finest amateur cricketers onto the pitch during the interval of the T20 Blast Surrey Double Header.

These individuals were celebrated as part of the #HantsTopGun campaign – a county-wide initiative that recognises outstanding weekly performances in club cricket. Running from May to August, the campaign highlights the male and female players with the highest batting scores and best bowling figures from the ECB Hampshire Honours Boards.

Each week, winners receive a pair of tickets to a Hampshire Cricket or Southern Brave fixture at the Utilita Bowl as a reward for their top performances.

We were delighted to shine a spotlight on the following players, who were among May’s Top Gun winners:

  • Thaakier Davids – New Milton (198)

  • Francesca Sweet – Eversley (293)

  • Ambalathveettil Kad – Southampton Tuskers (163)

  • Ella Chandler – Aldershot (120)
  • Ty Wilkinson – St Mary’s (198)

  • Sophie Randall – New Milton (219)

  • Ella Chandler – Aldershot (120)
  • Liam O'Connor – Calmore Sports (7-48)

  • Paige Bailey – New Milton (5-20)

  • Prasad Panicker – Kerala (Portsmouth) (8-17)

  • Katie Jones – St Cross Symondians (5-8)

  • Gareth Berg – Lymington (7-21)

  • Leighton Bone – Amport (8-25)

Congratulations to all our winners – and thank you for your incredible contributions to the grassroots game in Hampshire. We look forward to celebrating many more Top Guns throughout the summer!
