HCB Impact Report 2022 Published

HCB’s annual Impact Report for 2022-23 was published at the recent AGM. The report demonstrates the progress made against our 5-year strategy - Play it Forward and our 4 strategic priorities - Women and Girls Cricket, Schools and Junior Cricket, Making Cricket Accessible and Clubs and Leagues.

2022 highlights and achievements include:

• The continued growth of women and girls’ cricket in Hampshire. There are now 112 girls’ teams – a 30% increase from 2021, and 70 women’s’ teams, largely due to the ever-increasing W10 Softball programme.
• The development of female volunteers highlighted by the impressive achievements of 18 year old Scarlett, an aspiring professional umpire.
• More children receiving cricket coaching in primary schools than ever before. Over 22,000 in 170 primary schools children were coached by HCB Community coaches.
• The expansion and impact of urban and disability programmes in our communities. Including Hampshire’s Disability D40 1st XI being crowned ECB Quest Champions.
• £206k distributed to affiliated clubs through the ECB County Grants Fund.
