Utilita Bowl is on a mission to become the world's greenest international cricket stadium. Home to some of England's most successful cricket teams as well as Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and BEEFY's Restaurant.

Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

In Memoriam: Julie Chambers

It is with much sadness that we have to report that Julie Chambers has died after a short battle with cancer

21 December 2021

Julie was a founder member of the Fair Oak CC W10 team, one of the 8 original W10 teams in Hampshire.

As Captain and ‘Gin Queen’, Julie brought huge amount of enthusiasm to the Fair Oak team. All were welcomed and the Fair Oak ethos of competitiveness with lots of fun (and gin!) meant that things were never dull when Julie and the Fair Oak ladies were around!

Latterly Julie supported her club as Safeguarding Officer and qualified as an ACO Stage 2 Umpire. She was also a quizmaster extraordinaire for our W10 quizzes and was committed to supporting Indatwa through these.

Julie was the life and soul of W10 cricket and will be much missed by us all. We send our love to Adam & Seb and all the W10 ladies.
