A huge congratulations to Anthony Burgess from Old Netley & Highfield CC who has won September's Volunteer of the Month competition!
Anthony's ongoing volunteer work has been recognised by his peers who have nominated him for multiple reasons to do with his continuous support for the club. He has worked tirelessly at the ground throughout the month, tidying the perimeter areas, producing areas for training, and even when the outfield mower was out of use, using his garden mower. He has been a vital part of making the ground a much more attractive and usable space. Aside from the groundswork, he has worked on the pavilion putting two-ton bages of loft insulation in the loft space, fitting a CCTV system and working at the bar on the weekends. Anthony has also scored many games throughout the season, and arranged two sponsorships with a local waste removal company and a school holiday sports camp provider. At the age of only 26, Anthony is a great credit to the club.
Anthony has won a pair of tickets to a Hampshire Hawks 2024 T20 Blast fixture.
We recieved a large number of nominations this month which is amazing as it shows how great our volunteers are around the county and the hard work they put in.
A huge congratulations to all the nominees:
All nominees and winners are invited to our Cricket Collective Celebration Event on the 3rd November.
Keep up the hard work everyone!
