Super 1s Residential

Nine Participants Attend Lord Taverners Avon Tyrrell Residential

Last week participants across our Disability Programme were invited to Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre for the annual Lords Taverners Residential, along with various other Counties from around the Country.

Nine of Hampshire’s Super 1s participants took part, across two 3 day residentials for both boys and girls. The residential's challenged participants to work on team building skills and overcoming challenges to achieve there own individual success across various different activities including canoeing, climbing high ropes, wall climbing, archery, and shelter building.

All participants had a fantastic time meeting new people and sharing their own experiences about how they overcame various challenges throughout the week and how much they enjoy being a part of the Super 1s programme.

"The residential went really well and was a great success. Our participants gained a great deal of self confidence and managed to develop there own self fulfilment as individuals throughout the whole experience. We are extremely proud of everyone who took part in the trip across the week and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more about our participants, outside of the traditional cricket environment”

Jo Legg, Super 1s Coach
