On Tuesday 23rd July, Hampshire Cricket Board launched their first Walking Cricket taster session in the New Forest.
Designed to give people over the age of 55 the opportunity to get active, be social and have fun, the afternoon was a huge success. 16 participants attended and enjoyed learning the new format of the game in a relaxed and friendly environment.
"I had the best time! It was friendly with everyone helping each other. I felt the benefits for a couple of days, feeling more alive. It made me realise I missed being part of a team. I’m definitely planning on joining you all next term”

"It was great to launch Walking Cricket in July and to see so much interest on the day. Providing a place for people to try something new and socialise was fantastic to see. We would love to grow the programme across the county and give the opportunity to bring different centres together in coming months."
