Hampshire Champions Programme

The Hampshire Champions Programme provides young cricketers aged 13-16 with the opportunity to develop their skills in coaching, officiating, leadership, and volunteering. Designed to inspire the next generation of cricket leaders, the programme offers two levels:

  • Bronze – Open to all young cricketers in Year 8-10
  • Silver – For those with prior experience in coaching and volunteering or who have completed the Bronze level in Year 9-11

Programme Highlights

Participants will gain valuable experience in:

  • Coaching and supporting junior sessions
  • Officiating (scoring and umpiring)
  • Grounds maintenance and pitch preparation
  • Leadership and volunteering at Hampshire Cricket and ECB events

To track progress, each participant will log their volunteering hours in a mentor-signed booklet, ensuring structured development and recognition for their contributions.

What’s Included?

All participants will receive:

  • A Hampshire Champions T-shirt
  • A matchday experience at a Hampshire fixture
  • The opportunity to act as ambassadors for cricket in their communities

How to Get Involved

Participants can register independently or with the support of their club. A club contact is required during registration to approve volunteering hours for those engaged with a club.
