A battling century from returning Hampshire first-team all-rounder Sean Ervine (100*) helped an EICA XI enjoy the better of the shared spoils against Hampshire Second XI in a friendly at the Utilita Bowl.
The drawn two-day fixture was an opportunity for a number of the EICA rising stars as well as Ervine to face-off against a strong Hampshire side.
Owais Shah (50) featured for the hosts and hit an impressive half-century whilst Andy Gorvin (51) also looked in good touch as the duo helped Hampshire post 275 in their innings on the opening day.
Fifties then for Sean Willis (86) and Michael Porter (81) led the EICA, before Ervine, returning from a finger injury, hit an excellent century to see them finish on 364-4 to conclude the second and final day.
