An array of high-profile figures from the world of sport, governance, culture and entertainment – including Minister for Sport Mims Davies, Sir Alastair Cook, James Anderson OBE, Graeme Swann, Nasser Hussain OBE, Isa Guha, Rebecca Adlington OBE and two-time ICC Cricket World Cup winner Clive Lloyd CBE – were in attendance with celebrity fans Harry Judd and Chris Hughes as the 100-day Trophy Tour of England and Wales got underway.
The unique celebration of cricket’s 50-over World Cup highlighted the once-in-a-generation chance for cricket fans in England and Wales to see the world’s greatest players in action on home soil this summer.
The trophy, which will be lifted by the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup winners at Lord’s on 14 July, will be transported around England and Wales in a Nissan Leaf and make its way to Hampshire as part of four key events taking place across the county on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th February.
The Hampshire Bowl is a confirmed location for one of these four events with the trophy to be showcased at the venue on Monday 25th February (9:30am to 11:30am) in the The Ageas Bowl Atrium.
