Hampshire Men return Rothesay County Championship action against Durham at Utilita Bowl over May Bank Holiday weekend
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the 2022 fixtures for men’s county and women’s regional domestic competitions with Hampshire’s fixtures for the upcoming season confirmed.
Hampshire’s season will get underway when they host Somerset at The Ageas Bowl in the opening round of the LV= Insurance County Championship, starting on Thursday 7 April.
James Vince’s side will then travel to Surrey (14 – 17 April) and Kent (21 – 24 April) before returning to The Ageas Bowl to face Lancashire (28 April – 1 May) and Gloucestershire (5 – 8 May).
The Southern Vipers start their 2022 season at The Ageas Bowl against Loughborough Lightning in the Charlotte Edwards Cup on Wednesday 18 May.
Hampshire Hawks’ Vitality Blast campaign begins with home matches under the lights against Middlesex (27 May) and Somerset (30 May).
Two away matches follow before a blockbuster double header at The Ageas Bowl with the Southern Vipers on Saturday 4 June - the Saturday of the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend. Charlotte Edwards’ side will face the Northern Diamonds before the Hawks host local rivals Sussex Sharks in ‘el clasicoast’.
In July, The Ageas Bowl plays host to two England Vitality IT20s against India (7 July) and South Africa (31 July) with both matches sold out.

A home match against Worcestershire on Friday 5 August kicks off Hampshire’s Royal London Cup campaign with eight group matches across August.
The business end of 2022 will see Hampshire face Northamptonshire (5 – 8 September) and Kent (20 – 23 September) at The Ageas Bowl before a potentially crucial last match of the County Championship season against current champions Warwickshire at Edgbaston (26 – 29 September).
