Following last week's 2020 fixture announcement, we're delving deeper into what each competition holds next season, this time focusing on the Royal London Cup.
In a re-shuffle of the domestic schedule, Hampshire will begin their 2020 Royal London Cup campaign in the height of the summer with next year's competition getting underway in July.
With counties' opposition no longer organised by region from next season, Worcestershire will be Hampshire's opponents in the curtain raiser at the The Ageas Bowl on Sunday 19th July.
A trip to Radlett to face Middlesex on Friday 24th July followed by a clash against Kent Spitfires at Tunbridge Wells rounds off the opening three matches.
Hampshire's fourth and fifth group games mark a return to the The Ageas Bowl as Essex Eagles head to the south coast on Wednesday 29th July before an 'el clasicoast' clash encounter against Sussex Sharks on Friday 31st July.
Gloucestershire will be the opponents to begin August as Hampshire visit Bristol on Sunday 2nd August before the final away game of the group stage sees the side head to Durham to contest a limited-overs match there for the first time since 2013.
Hampshire's final group-stage fixture marks a return to the Isle of Wight, following this year’s successful visit to Newclose for a four-day fixture against Nottinghamshire – a match which marked the first first-class fixture to be played on the Isle of Wight since 1962. Lancashire will be the opponents at Newclose next summer with the match to take place on Sunday 9th August.
The Royal London Cup's knockout stages swiftly follow the group-stage in 2020 with both quarter-finals and semi-finals taking place on Thursday 13th August and Sunday 16th August respectively.
The competition final, which moves to Trent Bridge for the first time next year, returns to it's previous slot in September with the 2020 curtain-closer set for Saturday 19th September.
The best way to catch the Hampshire squad in action all year long next season is with a 2020 Hampshire Cricket Membership and there’s never been a better time to join or renew.
More information on each Membership offering can be found online via the link above, over the phone on 0844 847 1863 or in person at the The Ageas Bowl Ticket Office (Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm).
