Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Abi Norgrove And Ava Lee React To Their England U19s Selection

Southern Vipers' batter Abi Norgrove and spin bowler Ava Lee spoke to Kevan James on their selection for England U19s' upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka

Southern Vipers' opening batter Abi Norgrove and spin bowler Ava Lee have been selected for England U19s ahead of their tri-series against hosts Sri Lanka, and Australia.

Both 18 years of age, Norgrove and Lee are both cohorts in the Southern Vipers Academy and made their First XI debuts against Sunrisers in the 2023 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, and helped the team lift the silverware for the third time in four years.

Along with fellow Viper Mary Taylor, they will play six matches in total - four T20s and two One Day matches - starting on 29th March with the final match on 9th April.

The duo spoke to Radio Solent's Kevan James ahead of their flight to Sri Lanka on 23rd March - you can watch their full interview below.
