Adams & Vince Confirmed As Southern Brave’s Captains For 2024 Season

Georgia Adams succeeds Anya Shrubsole as Southern Brave Women’s captain, while James Vince continues his reign as Southern Brave’s men’s skipper

Georgia Adams and James Vince have been confirmed as Southern Brave’s captains for the 2024 season.

Both players captain their domestic sides, Southern Vipers and Hampshire, with the duo having a vast experience in lifting silverware having got their hands on The Hundred trophies in 2021 and 2023.

Adams, captaining Southern Vipers, led her side to a historic double, as the team won both the 50-over Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and 20-over Charlotte Edwards Cup in 2023.

It’s a privilege to be taking over from Anya who was an amazing captain and someone the whole team looked up to.

I’m super excited to get going and really looking forward to leading a fantastic group of players and trying to defend the trophy.

Vince, into his tenth season as Hampshire captain in 2024, led the club to a record tenth Vitality Blast Finals Day last summer having lifted the T20 trophy in 2022.

The Hundred is so fast paced you’re always having to stay two steps ahead so it’s been a challenge but one I’ve really enjoyed.

I love captaining this team and can’t wait to get going again in front of our home fans on 24th July.

Southern Brave kick off their campaigns at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday 24 July against London Spirit, with great value tickets on general sale; prices set at £5 for juniors aged 3-15 (free for under 3s) and adults starting from £26.
