Hampshire Women look to bounce back against Durham in the next round of fixtures in the Metro Bank One Day Cup
Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson has joined Essex on a one-month loan deal.
The 25-year old, who has made seven LV= County Championship appearances for Hampshire this season, will be available to play in all formats for Essex.
Liam Dawson said: “Essex are a decent side and they have got some very good players – this is an excellent opportunity for me to play first-team cricket in all formats. This is the best option for me at this time and I’m very thankful to Essex for taking me for the next month - I’m really looking forward to it.”
Hampshire Director of Cricket, Giles White said: ''The club understands Liam's desire to play first team cricket and this is an opportunity that allows him to do so. We look forward to him finding form and returning to the side before too long.''
In July last year, the Swindon-born all-rounder signed a two-year contract extension keeping him at the The Ageas Bowl until the end of the 2017 season.
