Hampshire batsman Tom Alsop has been named in England Lions' latest touring party due to take on Sri Lanka early next year.
Alsop's selection comes following positive performances during the Lions' most recent series' against the UAE and Afghanistan in Dubai.
The left-hander is one of 10 players to feature in both the 15-man four-day squad and a 14-man limited-overs squad, named today by National Selector, James Whitaker, with matches set to take place during February and March 2017.
The Lions play such an important role in bridging the gap between county and international cricket, and after a successful training camp in the UAE culminating in an excellent win against Afghanistan, this tour of Sri Lanka is a great opportunity for the players to gain experience of playing on the subcontinent.
James Whitaker, National Selector
