Robin Smith: The Judge Who Stood Tall In The Ashes
A masterful batter whose courage defined Ashes series and cemented his place in Hampshire & England history.
Hampshire Cricket can confirm that this week batsman Aneurin Donald underwent successful knee surgery after suffering a significant injury last week.
The 22-year-old was assessed by Head Physiotherapist James Clegg and it was determined that he had suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament.
Donald, who has already begun his recovery following the operation, is expected to miss the 2020 season as he looks to fully rehabilitate the injury.

In his first full season at Hampshire in 2019, Donald helped the club secure a third-place County Championship finish, contributing 554 runs at an average of 40 in 15 innings, including an incredible knock of 173 against Warwickshire in July.
Donald finished with a total of 888 runs across all competitions this summer, impressing throughout his debut season at the The Ageas Bowl.
Updates on Aneurin's progress will be provided over the coming months as we lead into the 2020 campaign.
