ICC Women's T20 World Cup Coming To Southampton
Seven venues have been confirmed to host the tournament in 2026
Southern Brave men’s and women’s teams have both retained the core of their squads ahead of the fifth year of The Hundred.
Laura Wolvaardt had already been announced as the team’s first Direct Signing, and she’ll be joined by the returning Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier and Freya Kemp.
Southern Brave’s men completed their first direct signing in former South African skipper Faf du Plessis who makes the move from Northern Superchargers, whilst explosive opening batter Finn Allen is retained for his third season in green.
Local favourite James Vince will continue to lead the men’s team, alongside Brave stalwarts Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer.
Across The Hundred, 12 Direct Signings have been confirmed on Deadline Day, with the eight teams finalising their retentions and forming their squads ahead of The Hundred Draft on 12 March.
The Hundred returns for its fifth year at Lord’s with a London derby between Spirit and Oval Invincibles kicking off a fifth year of world-class cricket and blockbuster entertainment.
I always look forward to playing in The Hundred with Southern Brave, it’s fantastic I’ll be staying at Utilita Bowl. The support we have is incredible and I can’t wait to get going in green later this summer and hopefully bring the giant H back to the south coast.
Lauren Bell, Southern Brave fast bowler
We’ve kept the core of our squad that got us to the final last year, and hopefully we can go one step further in 2025. As always, the fans and supporters are second to none, and we look forward to putting on a show for them this year.
