Bell, Bouchier, Dean, and Wyatt Included In ODI Squad To Face New Zealand

Four Southern Vipers players, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Charlie Dean, and Danni Wyatt have been named in England Women’s ODI squad to face New Zealand

Four Southern Vipers stars, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Charlie Dean, and Danni Wyatt have all been named in England Women’s ODI squad to play New Zealand at the end of the month.

All four players featured on England’s tour of New Zealand in March 2024, as they won both the ODI and IT20 series.

On the tour, Maia Bouchier smashed her two highest IT20 scores, with a career-best of 91 coming in the fourth match at Wellington following up 71 in Nelson.

Meanwhile, Charlie Dean became the fastest women to 50 ODI wickets and broke the record alongside Amy Jones for the highest seventh wicket partnership in women’s ODIs as she helped steer England to victory.

More recently, England completed a clean sweep against Pakistan, winning the ODI series 2-0 and the IT20 series 3-0.

Danni Wyatt scored 94 runs to end the IT20 series as the leading run scorer on either side, whilst Lauren Bell’s nine wickets saw her to second in the wicket taking charts across both series.

The quadrant of players have featured for Southern Vipers this summer, with the team currently sitting second in the 50-over Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and third in the Twenty20 Charlotte Edwards Cup.

All four are included in Southern Vipers’ squad to play Northern Diamonds at Utilita Bowl today (Friday 14 June).
