Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Captain Gubbins Previews Metro Bank One Day Cup

Hampshire's 50 over Captain Nick Gubbins sat down to discuss the 2023 Metro Bank One Day Cup, a day before Hampshire kick off their campaign against Middlesex at The Ageas Bowl

Elegant left-handed batter Nick Gubbins once again leads a youthful Hampshire side in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

Gubbins took Hampshire to the semi-final last season and believes the team has the skill to go one further in 2023.

Hampshire’s Metro Bank One Day season begins on Tuesday 1^st August, taking on Middlesex at The Ageas Bowl in their first of eight group matches.

They will make a return to Newclose on the Isle of Wight for their final group match against Kent Spitfires on Tuesday 22^nd August.
