Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Colin Ackermann Called Up As Permanent Replacement For Southern Brave

Leicestershire all-rounder Colin Ackermann will replace Warwickshire's Alex Davies for the rest of The Hundred

Southern Brave confirm that Leicestershire all-rounder Colin Ackermann has been called up as a permanent replacement.

Ackermann initially joined the Southern Brave squad as a temporary replacement due to exceptional circumstances within the men’s team prior to their match against Welsh Fire on Saturday 12 August.

Unfortunately, Warwickshire wicket-keeper/batter Alex Davies has been ruled out of the competition through injury.

Unfortunately Alex has been ruled out through injury. Colin replaces him and comes with good form in the One-Day Cup, and his ability to contribute with the ball makes him a good fit for the squad.
