Hampshire Men return Rothesay County Championship action against Durham at Utilita Bowl over May Bank Holiday weekend
The Hampshire Cricket family gathered at The Ageas Bowl to pay tribute to the volunteers on whom the game depends.
Local clubs and organisations put forward a near record 46 nominees with category winners receiving an invitation to October's national awards at the home of cricket.
The Lifetime Achiever, won by Tony Wharton, was once again decided by a twitter poll with over 230 votes cast.
Gosport Borough Cricket Club enjoyed a red letter day as chairman Pete Robson carried off the Heartbeat of the Club award, while their innovative Privett's Pavilion community cafe scooped the inaugural Most Inspiring and Diverse Cricket Offer.
The South East Hants Cricket Association were the first recipients in another new category - Pro-Active Leadership in Cricket - while Bashley (Rydal)'s Patrick Lewis and Bransgore's Ollie Melling were Young Volunteers of the Year.
Special guests Mark and Alex Ind shared 21 year old Alex's remarkable return to play cricket for Oakmount Cricket in August, overcoming a congenital heart condition, sepsis, open heart surgery and a stroke.
£184.52 was raised in a cash collection for Wessex Heartbeat, who also have a JustGiving page.
Hampshire Cricket Board director Jeff Levick concluded by thanking the volunteers in Hampshire on whom the recreational game depends, before highlighting the need to engage children and young people - one of six themes in Inspiring Generations, the 2020-24 England and Wales Cricket Board strategy.

The event also saw the presentation of the county ECB Coach Awards and Clubmark certificates for clubs accredited up to 2021.
