Match Preview: Hampshire v Somerset - NatWest T20 Blast

Hampshire take on Somerset in the final NatWest T20 Blast South Group fixture at the The Ageas Bowl this Friday

Hampshire take on Somerset in the final NatWest T20 Blast South Group game of the season on Friday.

Hampshire Squad:

Hampshire have named a 13-man squad for Friday’s fixture, with Brad Wheal, Jimmy Adams and 24-year-old spinner Jake Lintott included alongside 10 of the final XI that featured in the six-wicket victory over Kent last Friday.

Mason Crane remains unavailable for Hampshire having been retained by England for international duty throughout this week’s first Test.

The Opposition:

Somerset currently sit fifth in the South Group, having picked up 12 points from their 13 games, and the visitors must win to stand any chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

The visitors looked to be in good form, residing in second place in the South Group last week, but just one win in the last four games means that only a victory will give them a chance of reaching the competition's knockout stage.
