Liam Dawson sits atop of the Royal London One-Day Cup MVP Rankings after a stellar start to the competition, which has seen him score three fifties and return career-best bowling figures.
Dawson is the first player to have scored over 100 points and is currently five points clear of Derbyshire captain Wes Durston after six matches.
Dawson, who has been on loan for the Natwest T20 Blast to the Essex Eagles, notched 73 from just 66 deliveries against Sussex before ripping out their middle order with 6-47 to grab Hampshire’s first win of the competition.
He’s also scored 85 off 102 against Essex and 67 off 94 at Edgbaston against Warwickshire to take his tally of runs to 251 at a strike rate of 83 runs per 100 balls. He’s taken 13 wickets at an economy rate of 4.24 runs per over.
Michael Carberry and Chris Wood are Hampshire’s next best in the rankings in 40th and 41st respectively.
