Dimitri Mascarenhas Wins Fans’ Vote For Hampshire’s All-Time Best T20 Player
Dimi won the vote to be crowned as the best ever player to play T20 cricket for Hampshire
Dimitri Mascarenhas has been voted by Hampshire fans as the Club’s all-time best ever T20 player, collecting over 40% of the votes casted.
Along with nominees from all the other 17 counties, Dimi will now progress on to a national vote which will look to determine the best T20 player from the past 20 years.
Dimi Mascarenhas made a total of 74 appearances and took 94 wickets during a ten-year spell for Hampshire in the game’s shortest format.
He played a big part in both the 2010 and 2012 triumphs, and was captain in the final for the latter.
A memorable highlight from the former England international’s time at Hampshire came at Hove in 2004. He took the first ever hat-trick in T20 cricket during the ‘el clasicoast’ against south coast rivals Sussex – accounting for Mark Davis, Mushtaq Ahmed and Jason Lewry in consecutive balls.

Hampshire Hawks have also announced a brand-new type of ticket for this summer’s T20 matches at The Ageas Bowl, the Vitality Blast Plus ticket, which offers an upgrade on general admission tickets with premium reserved seating and access to a private, pitch-facing lounge and bar.
A limited-number of these new Plus tickets are available at the Advance rate for each of Hampshire Hawks’ seven Vitality Blast matches at The Ageas Bowl this summer, and will be available until 11:59pm the day before a specific matchday, after which ticket prices increase to 'On The Day' prices.

A new, free rail shuttle bus provision is on offer for fans travelling to and from The Ageas Bowl for Vitality Blast fixtures this summer – with Hawks supporters able to make use of free buses from Southampton Airport Parkway and Hedge End railway stations before, during and after each of this summer’s T20 matches.
