Extra Runs for Hampshire Matches on First Southampton Bus Route
These services will be available for the NatWest T20 Blast, Royal London One-Day Cup, and Specsavers Championship cricket on a Sunday
Local bus operator, First Southampton, will be bowling over cricket fans this summer with extra bus services from the city centre to Hampshire Cricket’s ground, the The Ageas Bowl in West End.
These additional services will be available for all of the club’s forthcoming NatWest T20 Blast and Royal London One-Day Cup matches, and Specsavers Championship cricket on a Sunday.
It is fantastic that First Southampton is working so closely with Hampshire Cricket on improving transport links to the The Ageas Bowl. We are always striving to develop the customer experience, which we recognise is an integral part to any successful event. These additional bus services will encourage spectators to visit the ground.

Cricket fans across the south can also take advantage of this new service for the The Ageas Bowl’s England matches in 2016, whilst extra trips will also run for the forthcoming Rod Stewart concert at the venue.
Hampshire Cricket approached us to ask if we would be able to offer additional services on our Route 8 to help fans get to the games this spring and summer. We were only too happy to assist. We are delighted to be Hampshire Cricket’s travel partner for these matches and we hope fans will consider using the bus as an alternative to their cars on what will be very popular events at the ground.

First Southampton will be running extra services on Route 8 for the following cricket matches/dates.
Specsavers County Championship Matches – 10 April, 1 May, 22 May, 5 June, 26 June, 17 July and 7 August.
