Hampshire players selected in England Women Pathway squads
England Women have announced the Performance Programme intake U19 Training squad for the 2025/26 winter, with a total of five Hampshire players included.
Hampshire fans have voted Aneurin Donald’s 76 run blitz from just 31 deliveries against Yorkshire as their favourite performance by the Welshman from the 2022 season.
Back in coloured kit, Nye turned up the heat as Hampshire made their second trip of the year to Scarborough on what looked to be a good track for batting.
With the score on 150-2 in the 33rd over, Nye walked out to bat and picked up his first boundary with a pull of Matt Revis.
Donald then hit back to back boundaries off Ben Coad, first taking a couple of steps down the pitch before ramping the Yorkshire seamer not once but twice in the over.
His first six came off Revis with a pull into the stands, and he followed it up by dancing down the pitch and swinging the ball once again into the crowd.
He brought up his half-century with a flat six off Dom Bess as he swept powerfully through midwicket – his fifty coming up after just 23 balls.
Donald then took a liking to off spinner Jack Schutt as he smashed the young bowler for three consecutive sixes.
He first slog swept the spinner before he came down the wicket and launched Shutt into the block of flats at the Trafalgar Square end of the ground.
Shutt then threw in a quicker ball, to which Donald rocked back and pulled him towards the sea for another maximum.
He was only at the crease for less than ten overs of play, but he scored a whopping 76 runs at a strike rate of 245.16.
Hampshire went on to win by 72 runs.
