The vibrant Festival of Lights is coming to Southampton this autumn with the Diwali Mela Event, taking place on Saturday 11th October 2025, from 10am – 5pm at Oasis Academy, Lords Hill, Southampton, SO16 0XN.
This free community event will celebrate Diwali, bringing together families, friends, and cultures for a day filled with colour, tradition, and joy. Guests can look forward to an array of attractions, including a spectacular theatrical staging, dazzling fashion show, diverse cultural stalls, and much more.

As part of the celebrations, Utilita Bowl will have a presence in the festival’s retail space, where visitors can engage with a range of activities and promotions. A step and repeat backdrop, pull-up banners, and flyers will highlight the highly anticipated India fixture at Utilita Bowl, while an exclusive competition will give attendees the chance to win a pair of hospitality tickets to the match.
The Diwali Mela is not only a joyful celebration of one of the world’s most cherished festivals but also an opportunity to encourage cultural exchange and community togetherness across Southampton.
