Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Four Recreational Clubs Chosen to Receive Hampshire Cricket Support

Part of the all-new Hampshire Cricket “Club of the Month” initiative

Hampshire Cricket are pleased to announce the four recreational clubs selected to receive intensive support this summer.

Portsmouth Cricket Club (May), Sway Cricket Club (June), East Woodhay Cricket Club (July) and Steep Cricket Club (August) have all been chosen as part of the all-new Hampshire Cricket “Club of the Month” initiative.

During the month, the selected club will receive intensive support from Hampshire Cricket, including player visits and online features, to help raise the profile of cricket in their community.

We are excited to be going back to the grassroots of cricket to support these four clubs, who all hugely impressed us with their applications. We hope this initiative will act as a catalyst to raise the profile of recreational cricket across the county, inspiring people of all ages to get along to their local clubs and become involved as players, volunteers and supporters.

Each club chosen as a Hampshire Cricket in the Community “Club of the Month” has opportunities to:

Inspire juniors with the support of Hampshire Academy players at a junior training session
Improve junior or senior teams with a training session led by one of Hampshire Cricket’s elite coaches
Raise funds and engage the local community at a joint fundraising event supported by Hampshire Cricket First XI players
Celebrate success with a weekly results summary published on Hampshire Cricket’s social media accounts
Promote the club with a feature on www.ageasbowl.com
