Hampshire Cricket and Ageas Launch Zip Wire Fundraising Event to Support Local Charities

Hampshire Cricket in the Community, official charity of Hampshire Cricket, has linked up with Ageas to set-up a new zip wire fundraising event at the The Ageas Bowl.

The Ageas Zip Wire Challenge, taking place on Sunday 18 October, will see charity fundraisers zipping over 450 feet from the roof terrace of the iconic pavilion down to the famous The Ageas Bowl outfield. The event is the first of its kind at the The Ageas Bowl and will raise funds for Hampshire Cricket in the Community and other charities across Hampshire.

Greig Stewart (Community Manager, Hampshire Cricket in the Community) said: “It’s a privilege to be able to host an event with the potential to have such a huge impact on charities and good causes across Hampshire. The Ageas Bowl is one of the world’s most impressive sporting stadiums and we are committed to using the attraction the venue has to benefit people in our community.”

It costs just £50 to register to take on the challenge and all participants are encouraged to raise as much as they can for a charity of their choice.
