Hampshire Cricket Announce Extended Partnership With Hendy

The extended agreement will see Hendy’s brand feature prominently on Hampshire Hawks’ playing kit for this summer’s Vitality Blast and Hampshire Cricket’s Royal London Cup 2021 playing wear

Hampshire Cricket are delighted to announce an extension to the Club’s partnership with Hampshire-based vehicle dealership group, Hendy.

The extended agreement will see Hendy’s brand feature prominently on Hampshire Hawks’ playing kit for this summer’s Vitality Blast and Hampshire Cricket’s Royal London Cup 2021 playing wear, as well as continued branding and advertising in a number of locations across The Ageas Bowl.

Hendy has an illustrious history as a family-led dealership, housing a host of vehicles stretching across the South Coast and providing a premium experience to every customer at all of their facilities across the region.

We are delighted to welcome Hendy as a partner for the 2021 cricket season. Hendy are a long-term supporter of both Hampshire Cricket & The Southern Vipers and we truly value our partnership.

We look forward to seeing their brand on the back of both our Men’s Royal London One Day Cup and T20 Vitality Blast kits, as we get set to welcome back fans to The Ageas Bowl this summer.

Tom James, Head of Sales and Commercial Partnerships

The start of the cricket season coincides with the reopening of the Hendy Group showrooms following the latest lockdown, with support of Hampshire Cricket being the perfect opportunity to showcase the group’s expanding portfolio in the county.

We continue to add to our portfolio in Hampshire and our support of Hampshire Cricket enables us to spread the word about our operations locally. At the end of last year we added Jaguar Land Rover in Southampton to the Hendy family and have recently opened new Renault, Dacia and Lotus dealerships in Eastleigh.”

Paul Hendy, Hendy Chief Executive

Hampshire will return as the Hawks from this year’s Vitality Blast as the Club returns to its white-ball roots, celebrating a memorable era from 2003-2009 which included two limited-overs trophies.

The Hawks’ reintroduction comes hot-on-the-heels of the announcement confirming fans can return to sports arenas from Monday 17th May and follows record-breaking demand for tickets and passports for this summer's Vitality Blast fixtures at The Ageas Bowl.

Buoyed by Hampshire’s ‘Ticket Refund Promise’ groups of friends, families and colleagues have been booking a date for their summer socials at The Ageas Bowl. All seven Hampshire Hawks home matches will take place after Monday 21st June as part of a bumper schedule of T20 action, with crowds returning to The Ageas Bowl as Hampshire aim to reach a ninth Vitality Blast Finals Day.

Following the unveiling of the brand new Hampshire Hawks playing shirt for 2021, the Club can also confirm it will make a £5 donation to Southampton Hospitals Charity for every Hawks shirt sold this season.

This support follows the Club’s commitment to make a donation for each LV= Insurance County Championship shirt sold in 2021, alongside a number of other fundraising initiatives being run to raise funds for Southampton Hospitals Charity and University Hospital Southampton.
