Every day at Hampshire Cricket, we see people coming together to work as a team. Not just on the pitch, but also within and beyond the stands. We have the privilege of witnessing the incredible spirit of Hampshire residents – volunteering their time for the greater good and helping those in need.
And HIVE Portsmouth is helping create more kindness by bringing communities together, and we’re joining them in their generous effort.
The charity unites people and organisations to tackle the city’s biggest challenges – from poverty and hunger to health inequalities and loneliness. As a hub for community engagement, Hampshire Cricket Foundation is proud to support HIVE Portsmouth in connecting residents with the right services and empowering volunteers to make a tangible difference.
This December, HIVE Portsmouth is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match-funding campaign, giving local people the chance to double their impact. From 2–9 December 2025, every donation made via the Big Give website will be doubled – £10 becomes £20, £50 becomes £100 – directly helping people across Portsmouth through the cost-of-living crisis, poor health, and social isolation.
We’re proud to support HIVE Portsmouth through The Big Give Christmas Challenge, the charity makes a real difference to local people every day, and this campaign is a fantastic way to help donations go further and create lasting impact across the city.

When you join us and give to HIVE Portsmouth, you’re not just supporting one project – you’re strengthening the whole city. Anyone donating £50 or more during the Big Give week will become a HIVE Hero, joining a community of local people, businesses, and organisations recognised for their generosity on HIVE Portsmouth’s online Roll of Honour and Hero Wall.
