Reece Topley, George Bailey and Gareth Berg will all be featuring in a unique T20 masterclass that will be offered to all young club cricketers aged between 9-15.
The event will be a great opportunity for them to enhance their T20 skills by receiving first-class coaching as well as exclusive top tips from the players themselves.
It will take place on Friday 18th August from 11am-5pm at the The Ageas Bowl just hours before Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast clash with Somerset, and will cost £100 per child, but they will be receiving superb value for money.
There is an opportunity for cricketers to improve on all aspects of their game. They can emulate power-hitting stars such as Shahid Afridi and Michael Carberry by improving their power hitting skills against the state-of-the-art Merlyn and TrueMan bowling machines.
Any aspiring fast bowlers can test themselves against bowling speed gun to see if they can one day be as quick as Kyle Abbott or Fidel Edwards.
It is not just batting and bowling which are key in T20 cricket, with players being presented with an opportunity to improve their fielding drills so they can catch like Rilee Rossouw!
Participants will also have the chance to do a Q&A and signing session with England international Topley, Australia captain Bailey and the experienced Berg, who has played in over 70 T20 fixtures.
Better still, the young players will get the chance to see the trio alongside their Hampshire team-mates in their pre-match T20 practice as they prepare to face Somerset, and due to his injury, the players will now be able to spend the whole afternoon learning from Topley.
To top it all off, included in the price of the course is 1 Adult and 1 U17 ticket to the game, so after a fun day, they can relax and watch some entertaining T20 cricket under the lights at a packed The Ageas Bowl, but hurry because there are just 10 spaces left!
