Hampshire’s Pre-Season Calendar Confirmed
Hampshire’s men and women will be going on tour in March with trips to Stellenbosch and Desert Springs, and five warm up matches
Hampshire Cricket will again be running half-term coaching courses next week, providing young, aspiring cricketers between the ages of 6-15 the opportunity to develop their game.
All courses will cover the essential skills of batting, bowling and fielding, with sessions conducted by ECB qualifed coaches within the The Ageas Bowl's Indoor School.
First-team wicket-keeper batsman, Lewis McManus will be on hand to provide coaching and tips for any aspiring keepers, as part of a wicket-keeping masterclass on 25th October.
Two two-day coaching courses are also available, with the first taking place on the 23rd and 24th October and the second between the 26th and 27th October.
It's great that we can offer such brilliant courses to youngsters who are enthusiastic about developing their cricket skills. This is a fantastic opportunity, combining skill sessions with games to give kids of all levels of ability a well-rounded experience.
Sam Bracey, Coaching Manager at Hampshire Cricket
The skill level for each of these courses is distinguished by a simple banding system, with a range of bands available to suit all ages and abilities.
The ‘Green’ band is designed for beginners between 6-10 years of age, where youngsters will look to pick up the fundamentals of cricket, whilst the ‘Red’ band is set for 8-13 year olds who currently play the game for their school or local cricket club and want to build on their skills in a fun and enjoyable environment.
