Hawks Men will travel to Banks Homes Riverside to face Durham on Friday 5th September
Hampshire Hawks Men will face Durham in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Blast.
After a third place finish in the Vitality Blast South Group, Hawks Men have been drawn an away tie against Durham at Banks Homes Riverside in the quarter-finals on Friday 5th September.
Three consecutive wins to start the campaign, including a commanding 106-run win on the opening night against Essex set the Hawks on their way, and despite a wobble of 1 win from 7 matches midway through, three wins from four to finish the group stages was enough to confirm qualification alongside Surrey, Somerset and Kent Spitfires.
James Vince and Toby Albert have been the standouts with the bat, piling on 908 runs between them in forming a formidable partnership at the top of the order.
Albert’s career-best score of 98* came in a must-win late season clash against Glamorgan, propelling the Hawks to a dominant 95-run win, whilst Vince’s seasonal top score, also 98*, ensured the Hawks completed a double in el clasicoast against Sussex.
All the bowlers have played their part, Scott Currie’s 22 wickets at 17 leaving him nestled inside the top 5 of leading wicket takers in the competition, but Wood, Dawson and Howell have all taken 10 plus wickets at less than 25.
The Hawks now look ahead to the return of the Metro Bank One Day Cup throughout August, before reconvening in Hawks yellow for the quarter-finals, looking to book-in an eleventh appearance at Finals Day.
Ticketing information will be confirmed in due course. You can sign up to Hawks emails via the link below to be alerted about tickets becoming available.
