All-Rounder Francesca Sweet Signs Two-Year Deal With Hampshire
Right-handed batter and medium pacer Francesca Sweet joins Hampshire following a successful trial period
Hampshire Hawks are delighted to announce the launch of a new mascot ahead of this evening's first home Vitality Blast fixture of the summer at The Ageas Bowl.
This summer’s competition has seen Hampshire return to T20 action as the Hampshire Hawks for the first time since 2009 and the Hawks’ return, coupled with Roary the Lion’s retirement, has meant there had been a vacancy in the mascot department.
Calls to Harry the Hawk – last seen at The Ageas Bowl in 2009 and rumoured to be happily enjoying retirement – went unanswered and instead another mascot of the avian variety stepped forward.
Introducing Hampshire Hawks’ new mascot… Hawky!

Hawky will be unveiled for the first time during this evening's match against Middlesex at The Ageas Bowl with Hampshire Cricket Members and Vitality Blast Passport holders able to attend the fixture.
Supporters will also have the opportunity to hear a new song, featuring vocals from some of the team themselves and recorded to mark Hampshire's return to the Hawks, during tonight's home curtain-raiser.
