Hampshire Hawks Welcomed Over 2,000 Children On Vitality Blast Schools Takeover

Schools from all over Hampshire were invited down to The Ageas Bowl to watch the clash of the birds as Hampshire Hawks took on Essex Eagles

Hampshire Cricket at The Ageas Bowl welcomed their biggest ever school’s takeover as 2,300 children from local schools descended on The Ageas Bowl for Hampshire Hawks’ Vitality Blast match against Essex Eagles.

All schools that are involved in Hampshire Cricket Board school’s programmes were invited to attend, with school children from 69 schools in Hampshire being treated to free activities, a DJ set, player signing, and a Hampshire Hawks win!

It was fantastic to welcome so many schools to The Ageas Bowl for our Schools Takeover! With our biggest uptake ever it was great to see children, teachers and parents enjoying the on field action, off field activities and getting the chance to meet the Hampshire Hawks players. The feedback from everyone has been incredible and it’s wonderful to hear stories of cricket being played in the playground the next day, this is exactly what these nights are designed to do.
