Hampshire Cricket welcomes club legend Barry Richards to the The Ageas Bowl this coming Monday (20th July).
The former batsman will be promoting and signing his new book entitled ‘Sundial in the Shade’ and welcomes fans to come and meet him as part of the launch.
Richards made more than 200 appearances for Hampshire and became well-known for his run-scoring, technique and audacious, extravagant stroke-play during a successful career spanning 18 years.
He was awarded a benefit year in 1977 having scored more than 15,000 runs for the county at an average of more than 50 and is widely regarded by many as a ‘cricketing genius.’
There will be opportunities to have books signed following the commencement of play in Hampshire's four-day fixture against Durham also taking place on Monday, whilst a second opportunity will also be possible during the tea interval.
Please note, a ticket to Day Two (Monday 19th) of Hampshire's LV=CC match against Durham will be required to gain admission into the ground and meet Barry Richards.
