The draft for the 2023 Pakistan Super League takes place on Thursday 15th December and eleven Hampshire players have made themselves available for selection
2023 will mark the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the tournament is scheduled to take place between Thursday 9th February and Sunday 19th March.
The draft, which will see all six teams pick players to complete their squads, will take place on Thursday 15th December and eleven Hampshire players have put themselves forward.
Captain James Vince and all-rounder Liam Dawson were the only Hampshire players involved in the 2022 tournament, representing Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United respectively, while new signing Benny Howell played in one match for Peshawar Zalmi.
All three players have put themselves forward again with Vince and Dawson in the Diamond category and Howell in the Gold category.
The other player in the Diamond category is James Fuller who was a central figure for Hampshire across all formats this year. He also played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, is currently involved in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) and has been chosen to take part in the new South African T20 league (SA20).
Alongside Howell, Brad Wheal, Jack Campbell, Ross Whiteley and Mohammad Abbas will be in the Gold category for the draft. Chris Wood, Ian Holland and Joe Weatherley will also be involved and are in the Silver category.
