Joseph Eckland And Daisy Mullan Released
Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Fast-bowler Andy Carter has agreed terms to join Hampshire until the end of the season.
The former Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire seamer has an impressive record in first-class cricket, having taken 97 wickets in 33 matches, and is a capable wicket-taker across all three formats, with best figures of 4-20 in T20 cricket.
Our bowling has been impacted by injury this season and it's important that we look to strengthen our options at a busy point in the calendar. Andy has a strong record of taking wickets in first-class cricket, and his height and power offer our bowling attack a different ingredient.
Giles White, Director of Cricket
After spending the first six years of his first-class career at Notts, Carter moved to Derbyshire ahead of the 2016 summer and made 16 appearances, taking 20 wickets in total, including 3-34 against Northants Steelbacks in the NatWest T20 Blast in May.
