Match Preview: Hampshire Men v Durham, Rothesay County Championship
Hampshire Men return Rothesay County Championship action against Durham at Utilita Bowl over May Bank Holiday weekend
A total of four Hampshire Hawks have been retained across different franchises ahead of the fourth edition of The Hundred this summer.
Club Captain James Vince will remain at Utilita Bowl captaining Southern Brave.
The Hampshire stalwart led the side to the first men’s title in 2021 and, after a disappointing 2022 tournament, captained the team to the eliminator in 2023 under the stewardship of head coach Stephen Fleming.
Last year’s Player of the Year, Liam Dawson, will remain at Lord’s with London Spirit with Benny Howell returning to Birmingham Phoenix and John Turner staying at Trent Rockets.
Each team has a minimum of four spaces left to fill in their squads through The Hundred Draft powered by Sage, with a further two Vitality Wildcard picks to be decided later in the season.
A record 580,000 fans were in attendance across The Hundred last season, including over 300,000 in the women’s competition. The Hundred’s blend of high-quality sport and entertainment saw 41% of all tickets sold to families, 23% to juniors and 30% to women.
Hampshire Cricket Members will be given a priority window from 6-13 March to purchase tickets to this summer's Hundred matches, along with a host of other benefits, including free entry to all Southern Vipers matches at Utilita Bowl.
