The Hampshire Wellbeing Centre (formally Perform at the The Ageas Bowl) is pleased to announce the acquisition of local physiotherapy, sports injury and rehabilitation clinic, Cura Healthcare.
Following its rebrand as an independent Health and Wellbeing Centre in January 2018, the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre now offers a host of different services to the general public and this latest development will see the physiotherapy and massage team grow from seven to ten highly qualified practitioners.
Cura Healthcare has previously served the local population of West End and Hedge End for a number of years and the merger will allow this established service to continue to prosper under the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre banner.
This acquisition is about us combining our specialist clinical teams in one place, to provide the highest possible level of care to the people who chose to use our physiotherapy and massage services.
Dan Young, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre Manager
This is an exciting time for Cura Healthcare, the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and the local community. The experience and commitment both companies bring to the clinic, along with the fantastic facilities and location of the The Ageas Bowl, will allow us to continue to develop and evolve as a practice.
Paul McIntyre, Cura Healthcare Director
As a service, it means we can specialise in Physiotherapy, but offer further wellbeing services that support the needs of the community. We want to be an integral part of healthcare in Southampton.
Since opening its doors at the The Ageas Bowl in 2013, the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre, which is owned by Hampshire cricket, has progressed forward significantly and now offers a range of healthcare services including physiotherapy, chiropractic services, podiatry and chiropody, massage, clinical hypnotherapy and sports therapy.
The Centre also runs a number of classes from its onsite gym, including active aging classes for older adults who are looking to achieve or maintain good fitness and health, alongside a joint pain class for sufferers of arthritis and achy joints.
We are committed to only providing the highest possible standards of care to our growing customer group and we’re continually looking at innovative ideas and reviewing what we do to allow us to grow and meet the changing needs of healthcare in Hampshire.
David Mann, The Ageas Bowl Chief Executive Officer
