Hampshire are back in Specsavers County Championship action this week as Yorkshire visit the The Ageas Bowl for a day/night pink ball contest, beginning on Wednesday (20th June).
Hampshire Squad:
A 14-man squad has been named for this week’s home fixture, with new loan signing Ollie Rayner included after arriving at the The Ageas Bowl from Middlesex for the next two four-day fixtures.
Sam Northeast is in line to make his first County Championship appearance since April after recovering from a finger fracture, whilst Tom Alsop could also return after a hamstring injury prevented him playing in Monday’s Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final victory.
Young spinners Mason Crane and Brad Taylor are both absent due to injury and all-rounder Liam Dawson is unavailable due to his England Lions commitments.
The Opposition:
Yorkshire have had a mixed four-day campaign so far with two victories, two losses and a draw coming from their five matches so far.
Steven Patterson’s side will be without England quintet, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, David Willey, Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett once again on Wednesday, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Matthew Fisher also unavailable after receiving England Lions call ups.
