Kids Go Free For Hampshire’s Season Openers
Kids go free across the Easter weekend (3–6 April) as Hampshire host Essex in the Rothesay County Championship, with the same offer available for Hampshire Women’s season opener on 11 April.
Hampshire youngsters Fletcha Middleton and Tom Prest have both been selected as part of a North-South England Lions training excercise.
The duo are part of a group of potential England Young Lions players who have travelled to Loughborough to take part in two Best v Best matchdays in September.
26 players in total have been selected for the exercise, with the group split into two squads – North and South – to compete in a three-day red-ball match.

The same number of players will return to Loughborough on the weekend of September 26th & 27th for two white-ball fixtures.
Hampshire's Head of Player Development, Charlie Freeson will also assist the preparation of both sides, following a summer in which several First-Class County coaches have played a huge role in assisting the preparation of senior England Men’s players.
Richard Damms (Yorkshire), John Windows (Durham), Ali Maiden (Leicestershire) and Daryn Smit (Derbyshire) will assist with the North; Gareth Townsend (Surrey), Steve Snell (Somerset) and Rich Halsall (Sussex) will support the South alongside Freeston.
